Fishing the tides at Titchilla

We arrived in Port Hedland and stayed a week, finishing off Linden's bird cage, repaired the Wabasto heater on our Bushtracker and several other minor adjustments.

Checked out the Skeet range

Yep! that's right didn't even look like hitting a target!

Roast pig and 'ROCKY" got the bone!

We were off next day - 'FISHIN'

Condon - about 100ks North of Port Hedland, we heard about this place from folks at Cape Kerderan several months earlier, plus Linden had fished the area 12 years ago when working for Gold Worthy Mining.

Alas no water at Condon, just to far to drag the tinnie, and if the wind gets up no where to hide!

We checked out Titchilla - great camp spot and creek system.
On our way to Titchilla!

We camp right on the first bend of the creek, magic spot!

The step's worked a treat at low tide.

Now you can see how steep the creek bank is. Our tinnie got caught up under the mangroves at high tide - hence the pruning!

Yeah! this fellow grabbed my coffee mug as I dragged him in.
At least it was the coffee mug and not my leg!

A magic week and some good fishing all within the creek system, fishing around the rock island several time's but no fish, had one strike and missed it.
See - BUSHABOUT for Karajini NP travels.
